Keep Calm and Carry On

I have an Etsy addiction, I’ll be the first to admit it, because I love things that are hard to find or one of a kind. My absolute favorite Etsy seller is Pressureless who personally silk screens the infamous poster, “Keep Calm and Carry On”.

It’s been in home magazines such as Domino (R.I.P.), House Beautiful, and countless shows on HGTV but have you heard its history?

During World War Two the British government pasted this quotation all over the city as war time propaganda to convince citizens to keep living their lives despite the upheaval.

Normally only shown in red Virginia based Pressureless offers these in an array of colors from basic red, to fun blue raspberry and even fancy gold. They match every décor and remind you to keep calm and carry on, despite how stressfully your life has become.

To purchase your own visit their Etsy page:

Note: I personally have purchased three, and every time the shipping is prompt and well packaged. There are many Etsy sellers who offer a similar product but this seller, I’ve found, has the best quality and price.

Etsy Find: Lewa's Designs

I’m currently redecorating my bedroom, and am going for a boutique-y chic feel to flatter my clothes horse tendencies. To achieve this look I’m painting my walls Pastel Jade from Behr paints and hanging up the black and white brocade curtains from my boutiques old location, but I feel like something was missing.

I decided I needed some wall art, and started looking for some fun decals and stumbled upon Lewa’s Designs on Etsy.com. These are possibly the most fun decals I have ever seen in my life! She has something for whatever your looking for- from sweet birds for your baby room, mod dandelions, elegant damask shapes and even a chubby little panda to stick on your laptop!

I’m loving this spooky tree featured here, which she offers in 31 (believe or not) different colors. What’s incredible about these decals though, is that instead redecorating your entire space, you can purchase one of these decals that range around $50 and give your room a breath of fresh air. If you’re a decorating chameleon don’t fret! Lewa’s decals can easily be removed so you don’t have to commit to this stick on for life!

Seeing as you now desperately want one, get in touch with Lewa here:

Mila Rose Designs

As a big supporter of local business, I knew I had to write about these headbands as soon as I saw them! While scouring Etsy.com I stumbled upon Mila Rose Designs and loved their wide variety of handmade goodies.

Primarily offering headbands, Melissa and Laura also have a selection of necklaces, hair clips, and crochet items. No matter your style this duo has something for you, I love the bold statement of the Alice headband pictured here but they also have a selection of quieter pieces and everyday items. You’ll also love their prices, some hand made items can be unaffordable but Mila Rose offers items from $12-$40 depending on the materials and level of detail.

You can purchase a headband of your own on their etsy store, at Bella Caley boutique, or visit them in New York August 5th and 6th when they will be featured at the famous Henri Bendel.
