Lounge Dressing

I really love Anthropologie's lounge dress selection, the price points are fantastic and this time of year they are perfect layered under sweaters. I'll admit though, that I definitely had goose bumps while taking these pictures. It's a little late in the fall season for sleeveless sweaters, however the lighting is just beautiful and I love the simpleness of the almost empty trees. Can you guys believe Thanksgiving is a week away? It's such a wonderful time of year, family time, cozy sweaters, and of course lots and lots of delicious food. Look forward to a heavenly apple pie post coming up!

Also, you guys have to check out Target's Merona tights- I bought these tights last year and wash/dry them and they hold up beautifully, not one snag!

I'm so excited for September!!! In celebration I've been filling up my Pinterest boards with black and white gamine looks with splashes of orange and gold. Much to my mothers dismay I'm also thinking of getting straight across bangs, and right now I can promise she's shaking her head since I'll run to her crying about how my hair will never grow back. I just love the frenchie feel of Zooey and Elsie's bangs with stripes (look at their classic style)!! This years bangs will be different, I can feel it!

September also brings such a feeling of excitement and possibility, chilly weather lets you layer, you can sip on fancy coffee drinks, and get inspired by fall color. I'm anxiously counting down the days to pack up these summer dresses and layer on some wool!!

Everybody is Clever These Days

Exactly three weeks from today, She & Him Volume 3 will be available in stores!! Is anyone else counting down the days? The early releases have been so great (my favorite is at the bottom of this post). Inspired by the fantastic Zooey I made my own dress to wear during the 500 Days of Summer (that is, if it ever warms up).

I love the colors of fall, there's something about dressing for the season that just makes me so happy. It seems that the start of every season though I get in a closet funk, not sure what to wear and uninspired by my closet. Walks in the park where the trees are red and yellow always re-inspire me, and get me excited to bake and make my apartment warm and cozy!

I have to admit, I'm probably jumping the gun on this outfit, but when I got these leggings in from Free People I had to wear them right away! I wore this outfit to work, and it was 75 degrees so needless to say I was a little warm but it's totally worth it- these leggings are fantastic. If you're looking to order them though they run small! I'm wearing a medium and while they fit they are snug when you pull them on.

And mother nature, I would really appreciate it if you kept it this cool and if you could make the leaves change color too, that would be great. I would really like to see some red and orange trees while drinking my dirty chai's from Cafe 153.
